Security Center
Protecting your information is our top priority. Learn how you can stay safe online.
Protect Your Login Credentials
- Create strong, unique passwords for your online banking and other sensitive accounts. Use a mix of upper/lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Never share your password, PIN, or security questions/answers with anyone. Cumulus Bank will never ask for this information via email, text, or unsolicited phone call.
- Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) whenever available for an extra layer of security.
- Log out of your online banking session when you are finished, especially on shared or public computers.
Recognize Phishing & Scams
- Be wary of unsolicited emails, texts, or calls asking for personal information or urging immediate action.
- Look for generic greetings, poor grammar/spelling, and suspicious links or attachments.
- Never click links or download files from unknown senders.
- Verify requests for money or information through a separate, trusted channel (e.g., call the official phone number).
Secure Your Devices & Network
- Keep your computer's operating system, browser, and antivirus software up to date.
- Use strong passwords and security settings on your home Wi-Fi network.
- Avoid accessing sensitive information like online banking on public Wi-Fi networks.
- Be cautious about software you download and install.
Monitor Your Accounts
- Regularly review your bank statements and transaction history for any unauthorized activity.
- Set up account alerts (e.g., for large transactions, low balances, login attempts) to be notified quickly of potential issues.
- Report any suspicious activity to Cumulus Bank immediately.
